Determinants of Perceived Organizational Justice among Hospital Employees

Perceived organizational justice means the degree to which the initiatives of an organization toward employees is perceived to be fair. The main objective of this study was the examination of demographic determinants of organizational perceived justice in a hospital setting. This research was done through cross-sectional method in an educational hospital of Yazd, Iran in 20013. The research population was comprised from the hospital employees. A total of 100 employees contributed in the study. We used stratified-random sampling method. The required data was gathered by using Moorman & Niehoff organizational perceived justice questionnaire. Data analysis was done through SPSS 16. We used descriptive statistics (percent, mean and SD) and chi square test for data analyzing. Results of the study showed that gender, profession and professional experience have statistical relationship with employees’ perception from organizational justice (P value= 0.00, 0.02 and 0.02 respectively) but age, education and marital status have no statistical relationship with the perception of organizational justice (P value= 0.23, 0.53 and 0.97 respectively). Our results indicate that there is some inequity between organizational initiatives toward different groups of employees that should be considered in policy making. Nevertheless, the exact causes of existing different perception about organizational justice need to be studied more.
